Rebel Wine Bar – Five Years of Doing Wine Differently

When it comes to wine, Rebel takes the experience to a whole new level. Great wine may be at the heart of it, but this Oakland Park favorite has spent the past five years creating a place that’s just as much about having fun, trying something new and enjoying the people you’re with. 

With a name like Rebel, you wouldn’t expect an ordinary wine bar, and that’s exactly the point. The vibe is approachable and decidedly unstuffy, whether you know your way around a wine list or you’re still figuring out what you like. Rebel makes exploring wine part of the fun, with flights and tastings that encourage you to sip, discover and maybe find a new favorite along the way. 

The experience doesn’t end with what’s in your glass. Rebel pairs its pours with a tapas menu, offers Happy Hour seven days a week and keeps its calendar filled with reasons to come back. September alone brings Trivia Night, Customer Appreciation Day and a Paint N’ Sip class, part of a rotating lineup of events and experiences that turns an evening at Rebel into more than simply going out for a drink.

From 6 p.m. to close, guests can raise a glass to five years of Rebel with an evening of wine, food, games, confessions and, appropriately, absolutely no judgment.

Feeling a little braver? Truth or Drink puts you on the stand with a simple choice: answer the question or take a drink. Choose your testimony wisely. 

There will be a special food collaboration for the evening, because every good case needs evidence. The first 30 guests will receive a raffle ticket, with one lucky guest walking away with a bottle gift. 

It’s an anniversary party that feels very Rebel, which may be the best way to sum up what the wine bar has created over the past five years. Wine, food and events may bring people through the door, but giving them a comfortable place to gather, try something new and enjoy each other’s company is what has helped define the Rebel experience.
