Dog Friendly Places - Wilton Edge Local Flare October 2026 hero

Yes, Your Dog Can Come Too

You know the routine. You’re heading out, you grab your keys and suddenly there’s a pair of eyes following your every move. You know exactly what they’re thinking.

Really? You’re leaving me home alone?

Well, thanks to a few pup-loving local businesses, sometimes you don’t have to.

Here in Wilton Manors, grabbing a drink, having lunch or settling in for a little people-watching doesn’t necessarily mean leaving your four-legged sidekick at home. There are several spots right along the Drive where your dog can join the fun. And just a few extra steps away in neighboring Oakland Park, there’s another dog-friendly stop worth putting on the list.

So grab the leash. We found four places where your dog can be part of the plans, each with a different reason to go.

Spencer’s Corner Bar – Lunch with your best friend

Lunch plans are considerably easier when nobody has to stay home. Spencer’s serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, making it an easy place to turn an ordinary outing into a lunch date. Grab a patio table, order something for yourself and enjoy a little quality time with the companion who never complains about where you picked for lunch. Although staring at your plate is almost guaranteed.

Pub on the Drive – People-watching with your pup

Some dogs watch squirrels. Others prefer Wilton Drive. Grab a sidewalk patio seat at Pub on the Drive and let your pup take in the parade of people, personalities and activity passing by. You get a drink and some prime people-watching. Your dog gets approximately 147 things to sniff, stare at and silently judge. Everybody wins.

LIT – Happy hour with more tail wagging

Happy hour is even happier when your dog gets to come along. LIT’s covered back patio gives you and your pup an outdoor place to settle in away from the activity along the sidewalk. You get to relax with a drink. Your dog gets some fresh air and company. Best of all, nobody has to face that guilt-inducing look when you get home.

Tripping Animals Taproom – Craft beer with your favorite drinking buddy

Just a few extra steps away in neighboring Oakland Park, your dog may not appreciate the difference between a lager and an IPA, but you certainly can. Tripping Animals pairs its rotating selection of craft beers with a spacious, dog-friendly outdoor beer garden and food from Trippy Kitchen. Grab a beer, order something to eat and settle in outside with your favorite drinking buddy. Just remember which one of you gets the beer.
