Everyone deserves a little pampering now and then. Why should the four-legged member of the family be any different? 

At WagPride on Wilton Drive, that pampering comes courtesy of Magno, who is back at the shop full-time and ready to make your four-legged family member look and feel their best. 

Magno brings a grooming résumé to WagPride that spans South Florida, Manhattan, Italy and the show-dog circuit. He got his start at South Florida grooming shops including Lop of Luxury in Delray Beach and City Pooch in Miami, worked at Unleashed Spa and Grooming in Manhattan, studied grooming in Italy and has experience on the show-dog circuit. His love of animals extends beyond grooming, too. He is currently studying to become a veterinary technician, continuing a career that has always centered around caring for animals. 

Magno speaks four languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, allowing him to speak directly with pet parents from many different backgrounds. In our diverse South Florida community, being able to communicate confidently with the person caring for your pet adds another level of comfort to WagPride’s stress-free grooming experience. 

Magno truly enjoys grooming because he loves being around dogs, and that connection comes naturally. He’s gentle and patient, taking the time to help each dog feel comfortable in his care. WagPride schedules one dog at a time per groomer, so Magno can focus on the dog in front of him without other dogs waiting around for their turn. From the moment your dog arrives until it’s time to head home, they have his attention. 

WagPride welcomes dogs of all sizes, from the little ones you can tuck under your arm to the big guys who seem to take up half the couch. Services include Bath & Brush starting at $25 and Full Grooming services starting at $75 based on the size and type of dog and its coat. 

For pups who prefer the full spa experience, WagPride offers a few extra services that will really get their tail wagging. Deshedding is available for those extra-furry pups, especially those with double coats, and Magno is certified in non-anesthetic dental cleaning, giving pet parents an anesthesia-free option to help remove plaque and tartar from their dog’s teeth. 

Most grooming appointments are finished within about 90 minutes, although larger dogs may require a little more time. That gives you a chance to drop off your dog, run a few errands or grab a bite, and come back when they’re ready. With WagPride right on Wilton Drive, there are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. 

Scheduling an appointment is easy. Magno is available six days a week, Tuesday through Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome when availability allows, although scheduling online appointments in advance is recommended. 

No trip to the spa is complete without a little reward for a job well done. Once you find out what a good boy or girl your dog was for Magno, you may have a hard time resisting a new toy, treat or dental chew from the boutique. 

There’s even a Bargain Barrel filled with toys under $5. Apparently, some four-legged customers prefer to skip the usual shopping etiquette and climb right in to find their favorite. Can you really blame them? 

With Magno taking care of the grooming and plenty of opportunities for a little post-appointment spoiling, WagPride makes taking care of your furry friend feel a lot less like a chore and a lot more like a treat.
