Leather Meets Drag for One Unforgettable Night

Leather and feathers don’t usually share the same closet. But for one night, they make a pretty unforgettable pair. 

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, Scandals Saloon will come alive with big personalities, big performances, and plenty of laughs as American Brotherhood Weekend (ABW) presents Leather & Feathers: ABW Does Drag! 

Hosted by Elimination Onyx and MsKitty, American Leatherman and Leatherwoman 2025-26, with emcees Blade Onyx and Steven Crespo keeping the energy high, the evening promises entertainment, audience participation, and more than a few unforgettable moments. 

But this isn’t just another drag show.  

There are performances by drag kings and local and national leather titleholders, some making their drag debut!  

The evening celebrates the long-standing connection between Leather and Drag while raising funds to support ABW’s mission of promoting visibility, education, civic engagement, and charitable giving throughout the LGBTQ+ community. As the organization puts it, it’s ”an homage to the long history of the flow and connection between Leather and Drag and a celebration of visibility and civic action.” 

Founded in 1989, American Brotherhood Weekend has grown into one of the country’s longest-running leather organizations. Beyond its annual title competitions, ABW develops community ambassadors who raise funds for worthy causes, support charitable organizations, and represent the leather community through service, education, leadership, and visibility. Today, ABW is also a celebration of the bonds shared across its leather family, bringing together men, women, non-binary folks; people from every corner of the community in the spirit of friendship, service, and inclusion. The evening also highlights the ABW presentation of Back Patches, recognizing another year of service from the organization’s titleholders. Guests can browse a silent auction, order food from Jamie’s Kitchen, and enjoy a night that’s equal parts celebration and fundraiser.
